Welcome to WyoGeo.net, the internet home of the Wyoming Association Of Geocachers (WAG). This group encompasses any local or regional groups that have or will form in the future. To-date, there are groups in the Gillette area, Southwest, Southeast and Northwest Wyoming areas. It was decided that at the very least we needed a website where cachers from Wyoming can exchange information, visit, and get to know each other. There is no official 'sign up' area or form. In order to become a member of WAG, you need to download, complete and mail in the form along with a processing fee of $5.00. To make it known you want to participate on the webiste, go to the forum section and register there. Your info will be generated and you will be placed on the contact list and included as a member of the site so you can receive any correspondence and updates. Please give us all the information you feel comfortable with as it is very helpful to us. We feel we have a great deal to offer the Wyoming geocacher. There is a a section for each local or regional group where you can get information about that specific group. There is a forum section where we can visit, exchange ideas and just get familiar with one another and so far it has been very useful. There is a guestbook where visitors can let us know what they think of our website, our organizations or whatever. You will find a counter about 3/4 the way down the page which indicates the volume of traffic which is being generated. There is a photo gallery page so you can send us your photos and they can be displayed for all to see. The chat room at one time was very well utilized but of late has been very much underutilized.anybody who would like to check it out is welcome. We realize that a chatroom might be a little intimidating at first but it is not the normal chat room. You will be greeted and welcomed by members of our our group and you may find it is a great way to interact with other members. This is a site of users. If you have something you would like to add to the site, let us know and if it is financially and otherwise possible, we will try to get that online. Please return often so you can see the site grow and progress. Hopefully it will be a dynamic site for some time to come with lots of content and lots of participation. The latter is the key to having a vital and popular site, participation of the users is absolutely essential. There can be page after page of content but if nobody posts their views then it will be a boring place to visit. |
